We are a small, modern firm based in the centre of Newport, Isle of Wight. Established in September 2010, the aim of the firm is to provide a friendly, approachable and competitively priced service to our clients. We are also committed to an environmentally friendly approach in running our office.

We are based very near to the Newport (Isle of Wight) Magistrates and County Court, and are well placed to deal with any civil or family hearings on an agency basis, at short notice if needs be, and at Publicly Funded rates if necessary.

James Thorn qualified as a Solicitor in 1999. In 2003 he became a member of the Law Society’s Family Law Panel. He has a wide range of experience in all Family Law disputes, and qualified as a Mediator in 2010. His background includes experience in all contentious areas of law and regular appearances in the Magistrates Court, County Court and Employment Tribunals.

We regret that we are unable to offer a Publicly Funded (Legal Aid) service. We are proud, however, to offer a competitive rate for our services and will always be willing to agree in advance, where possible, a fixed fee for specified work.
